The Latest Painting - 6 O'Clock in Madrid



This is a painting based on a picture I took in Plaza Colon in Madrid. I was walking home from work at 6 o'clock and saw these awesome shadows under what I think are olive trees. I took a little artistic liberty with some of the background scene, but the feeling and the light are the same. *Sigh* I miss Madrid.

Oil on canvas, 3o inches x 40 inches. I still haven't gotten it framed - it's expensive!

Wow. I heard you say you could paint...but now I see you really can. Love the light in this.
I miss Madrid too. I spent a couple of summers there many years ago. I've been dying to go back.
